Our story starts with one man.
Our story starts with one man, Joe Butrus, who was working as a high-level footwear merchandiser at one of the country’s largest retail corporations. Unexpectedly, his division closed and with a wife and three children to support, he knew he had to chart a new course – quickly. He decided to pour his experience and passion for the footwear industry into his own company.

OUR CRAFTMANSHIP
A Diba True shoe's journey starts with a highly talented group of artisans.
Our design team first analyses the market for upcoming trends, then our sketch artist uses CAD to bring the ideas to life. After, prototype samples of the sketches are made in a sample factory.
Moving to the actual production begins with our selection of the current trends in colors and materials. To ensure the best fit possible tolerances are measured in millimeters and fit trials are conducted across various sizes.
In the factory, the raw materials are cut and stitched and prepared for assembly. We have teams of quality control professionals watching and adjusting all the preparation stages in advance of assembly. As well, samples are sent to testing laboratories to meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. On assembly day, a team of 50 to 75 craftsmen transform the components into a pair of shoes, boots, or sandals. Again, this stage is supervised by quality control professionals. Most of the production steps are done by hand with the aid of a few machines along the way. At the end of the production line, the product goes to the packing area where it is again checked by a quality control team to ensure both visual and technical aspects are being followed. We are proud of our final product and of the efforts all members of our production team have put forth to deliver a fine, handmade, quality product.
